InBev completes Budweiser merger

Thanks Elisabeth for the link.

“Effective today, InBev has changed its name to Anheuser-Busch InBev,” InBev said in a statement.

The new company will be one of the leading consumer products firms in the world.

Anheuser makes Budweiser – the most popular beer in the US – while InBev produces Stella Artois and Beck’s.

InBev agreed to sell its Labatt USA business and associated licenses to get approval from the US Justice Department on anti-trust grounds.

Thanks Hunter S. Thompson and Flying Dog

I had a great Halloween in NOLA. Many, many thanks to Flying Dog and Mister Hunter S. Thompson for the inspiration. Thanks to Beerfest (a bar full of taps on Bourbon St.) for having Flying Dog on tap.

Brad dresses up as Dr. Gonzo for Halloween What do you do if you’re in New Orleans during Halloween? Dress up like Dr. Gonzo, that’s what! Brad was there and spent the last day of October in style. And always remember to bring your trusty attorney with you, especially whilst spending Halloween in The Big Easy.

Siobhan does it Doggie Style for Halloween 01 And friend of Flying Dog Siobhan dressed up like our Doggie Style Classic Pale Ale and partied the night away with us during our Flying Dog Pub Crawl down “The Gauntlet” in scenic Frederick, Maryland. Now we don’t want to presuppose anything, but you’re in for a pretty good night if you’re dressed up as anything called “Doggie Style”.

We sort of sprung this concept on you people a little late this year, but rest assured there will be a contest next year, so get started on your costume and win some schtuff.

Matiswann Returns with a Flying Dog

Well, since state employees got the day off and blind people got to drive.

I decided to look for some good beers around Jackson. I found some Snake Dog IPA on tap over at the Mellow Mushroom (They also have a beer challenge, if you can drink one of everything they have on the menu you get your name on the wall forever. I also found another of the Flying Dog assortment packs.

But, this one was different.

Now, what do you suppose was removed? I figured for sure it would be the IPA. But alas, it was the porter. Thank you BUDDHA. What was on the inside was a dog that I haven’t seen hunt yet.

Sorry it’s blurry on the backside, but I was off work all day.
Don’t get too excited, it taste like makeup.
It’s good to be back.
